A DAY IN THE LIFE!
As a yard coordinator, you will ensure all yard and warehouse activities are covered. Daily duties will include coordinating the loading and unloading of freight for drivers and coordinating inventory movement in the warehouse. You will also assist the maintenance shop staff with various duties.

You are an independent worker with a high level of integrity and great time management skills. You have proven experience in yard and warehouse coordination. You also value safety and have experience maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilizes the company forklift to move equipment/freight and assists drivers with the loading/unloading of freight.
- Maintains the yard and ensures organization per the shop manager’s direction.
- Manages the warehousing environment by ensuring organization and proper storage conditions set forth by the customer.
- Organizes and manages the loading/unloading of warehousing freight on behalf of the customer via forklift.
- Under the direction of service technicians, assist with general equipment repairs.
- Ensure the shop environment remains clean and organized under the direction of the shop manager.
YOUR SKILLSET
- The ability to effectively manage one’s time in a safety-sensitive environment with frequently changing deadlines.
- Proven experience safely using a forklift to move materials.
- A safety-first mindset with strong communication skills necessary to collaborate closely with a diverse range of individuals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma (an equivalent amount of education and experience may be substituted).
- 2+ years of experience in a position in which one was required to use a forklift to move materials.
- Employment is contingent upon completion of the SPD employment process (including a background check).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active forklift certification is strongly preferred.
SALARY AND SCHEDULE
- Salary: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, decided based on experience.
- Schedule: Full-time on-site; Monday - Friday; 08:00 am – 5:00 pm.
